Let's do a close-up of Katherine DeMille, who, in fact was an orphan adopted by the famous director, and played supporting roles and exotic leads in a number of films during the 1930s and 40s. DeMille was born in 1911 and was married to actor Anthony Quinn from 1937 to 1955. The couple had two children. After retiring from acting, she settled in California and studied philosophy. Movies she appeared in include: Madam Satan, 1930; Viva Villa (with fellow Canadian Fay Wray); The Crusades, 1935; The Black Room, 1935; In Old Caliente, 1935; Charlie Chan at the Olympics, 1938, Ellery Queen, Master Detective, 1940, Reap the Wild Wind, 1942 and The Gamblers, 1950.
